Partnership Program
Virtually Whistler is a volunteer social media program supported by companies, (partners), who wish take advantage of the social web. Any company attempting to succeed in capturing the benefits of the social web will have discovered that the difficulty lies in developing;
- A large volume of community posts on a daily basis
- Genuine social conversations
- The correct ratio of corporate promotions to social content
Without these three elements you are missing out on business opportunities associated with the social web. Social marketing requires a much greater amount of time and energy to begin achieving scalable benefits then most marketing executives would like to think. That is why this project has been initated. 'To build a mass volume of daily resort content', by creators who genuinely love Whistler and are willing to provide partnering businesses with a cost effective content solution. With such a large volume of genuine social content, business managers can focus on their corporate promotions, tapping into a community of active and interested followers.
Project Benefits
- 384 working hours per month dedicated to developing quality social content, for little more than the price of a cell phone
- Generation of real time video and content feeds, making your content current and relevant within the framework of the social web
- The sheer volume and quality of content will ensure that partnering social accounts will outpace other competing social pages allowing each partner to successfuly utilize their social channels to run special promotional offerings directed at maximizing revenue opportunities
Operational Outline
- The project will start with a minimum of 8 Volunteers, with each volunteer working 2 days a week for the entire ski season
- These volunteers will be generating content feeds, consisting of text, photos and videos
- These initial volunteers will generate a minimum of 16 Videos, 32 Photo's and 64 Texting Updates per Week
- In return for being volunteers, each volunteer will receive a new iPhone and a Voice/Data Plan for as long as they are participating volunteers
- Each partner may appoint a single volunteer, possibly a staff member, to act directly on their behalf illustrating how that partner integrates with resort life
- I will be acting on behalf of all partners as the project director;
- I will be initially networking all volunteer feeds into partnering blog's, Facebook Pages, twitter accounts and YouTube Accounts
- I will be personally training the volunteers and continually improving this new Whistler Promotional Content
- Content would primarily evolve around Whistler based events and activities
- After the ski season, ownership of a single iPhone is then transferred over to each individual partner effectively providing partners with a return on their initial investment
- No partner is bound by a long term contract and can elect to stop at any time. (If a partner elects to stop before the end of the ski season, the cell phone will NOT be transferred out of the project into that partners name)
Program Costs
- These costs are not finalized and do not include tax
- Costs are minimized by dividing the total cost equally between a network of six partners (If additional partners sign up then costs will be further lowered and the volume of total content created will be increased accordingly)
